Supported inputs
Rendershop works from a flat image, not a BIM model. That means anything you can screenshot or export as a picture is a valid starting point, whatever modelled it.
File types
Every upload field accepts standard image formats and PDF. A PDF is converted to an image on upload, so CAD sheets and elevation exports work without a separate step.
- Images — PNG, JPG and other common web image formats
- PDF — converted automatically on upload
Where the image can come from
There is no plugin and no file-format requirement, because the input is a picture. A viewport screenshot is enough.
- SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, Blender, 3ds Max — a viewport screenshot or render export
- AutoCAD and other drafting tools — an elevation or plan exported as PDF
- Hand sketches — a photo or scan
- Photographs — for Photo Edit and Staging, which work on real photos rather than renders
What makes a good input
- Crop to the building or room. Whitespace and title blocks waste resolution.
- Use the highest resolution you have — detail in equals detail out.
- For Staging, shoot or export the room empty and square-on; the model keeps the geometry it is given.
- Reference images are the fastest way to pin down a specific material. See the Render tool guide.
