How to Use the Photo Edit Tool
Photo Edit applies the same surgical editing power of the Edit tool to real photographs, not renders. Upload a real photo of a building, room, or scene and selectively change parts of it — wall colors, materials, furniture, sky, brightness — without re-shooting or re-rendering.
What it costs
10 credits per generation. Credits are only charged for a successful generation — if a job fails, they are refunded automatically. See credits and billing for what each plan includes.
How to use it
- Upload a real photo (jpg, png, webp; up to 50MB).
- Use Markup mode to point at the elements you want to change.
- Name each element and describe the change in plain language.
- Optionally adjust overall brightness or apply a preset filter.
- Optionally upload reference images to lock in a material or color.
- Click Edit Photo. Costs 10 credits.
- The rest of the photo is preserved — composition, perspective, all unchanged elements stay identical.
Pro tips
- HEIC iPhone photos aren't supported yet — export as JPEG from your iPhone first.
- Photo Edit is fantastic for client presentations: show the same room with different finishes side-by-side.
- Brightness adjustments work well to simulate different times of day on an existing photo.
- Use reference images for materials. A single reference photo of a paint chip beats any text description.
- For real estate listings, you can virtually 'declutter' rooms by marking objects and saying 'remove'.
