How to Use the Edit Tool
The Edit tool lets you change specific parts of an existing render without re-generating the whole image. Mark elements you want to change (a wall, a roof, a window) and tell the AI how to change them. The original structure and composition stay exactly the same — only what you marked changes.
What it costs
10 credits per generation. Credits are only charged for a successful generation — if a job fails, they are refunded automatically. See credits and billing for what each plan includes.
How to use it
- Start with an image in the canvas (an existing render, or upload one).
- Click 'Add Markup' to enter markup mode.
- Click on an element in the image to drop a pin. Up to 3 pins per edit.
- Name what the element is (e.g. 'brick wall', 'roof', 'front door').
- Describe what you want to change it to in plain language.
- Optionally upload a reference image showing the material or color you want.
- Optionally use Draw Region to outline a precise area instead of a pin.
- Click Edit. Costs 10 credits.
- The rest of the image stays untouched — only your marked elements change.
Pro tips
- Edits work best on specific physical elements (walls, roofs, doors). Vague edits like 'make it warmer' are less reliable.
- Reference images for materials are gold — much faster than describing a texture.
- Use Draw Region when you need to change a precise area that isn't a clear single element.
- If you want to change everything, do a new Render instead — Edit is for surgical changes.
- Stack edits: edit once to change a wall, then edit the result to change the roof.
